- The Course is very practical and teaches you skills in order to practice at the Bar and also transferable skills that you could use for other careers. The course is very expensive and in my view over-priced. I study on a part-time basis - 1 weekend a month. The weekend is very heavy, as the lectures start in the morning until late afternoon on Saturday and Sundays. A lot of the students who attend on the part-time already have professional careers, which makes it quite interesting. The materials supplied are excellant, and the lecturers are all practising Barristers, who attend lectures well presented in court wear. On the whole the course is very good and has an excellant rating, but I for one cannot wait to finally finish in June 2007

- Coming to the end of my course, this is to give the staff and students at Reading some recognition. The law school is now amongst the best in the country. It's less stuffy than Oxford and Cambridge but has all the advantages of great teaching, facilities even heritage. (inc. oak panels in restored beautiful building). Mooting is massive - even I got involved and learnt a great deal about presenting and being persuasive and interesting to listen to - as this review shows! Pro Bono opportunities are good with great staff support, such as Streetlaw and citizens advice bureau. Socials occur frequently (10 a year minimum and in London often, esp Leicester Square). Staff are supportive and helpful. Above all, all students all get on really well and feel part of a community which you don't get in a city centre. Sports here are popular and add to a great social life. Nights out like a great Union and lots of clubs in town means you're sure to enjoy it here. If all goes wrong, there's always trained "Peer Support" in case you are struggling with your emotions/course and don't think you want to inform your tutor or lecturers. It's a student place and makes everyone feel at home, no doubt u will enjoy it too !! :-D

- This course is a very varied course, with the opportunity in your third year to major in either economics or law. I wanted to do law originally, but not having done it at A-Level, I didn't know if I would like it or not, so that is why I chose to do economics as well as I knew I enjoyed this from A-Level. The tutors are very helpful and you can email them or go to their office to see them. At the moment, the economics department is a number 1 ranked department in the country! The University of Leicester itself is a very good university, with opportunities to get involved with many different things!

- The course covers the law relating to medicine and medical treatment in England and Wales with some mention of Scotland, and medical ethics as it ties in with the law. The course draws its students from varied backgrounds, including non-lawyers, but there is considerable scope for in-depth legal analysis. Non-lawyers very quickly become familiar with the idiosyncracies of English medical law. The two halves of the course complement each other very effectively, and are taught in such a way that the student can see the interplay between ethics and law. There is a very holistic feel to the course, with the dissertation element drawing from both the ethics and law halves. The tuition is beyond reproach. The staff are incredibly inspiring and display considerable enthusiasm for their subjects, whilst pushing you to achieve your best.
- Student facilities ****
- The facilities are variable. There is a very good IT network. The library is amazing, but some of the classrooms are a little dated. These rooms tend not to be given to postgraduate students, so top marks!
- Social life *****
- The course only admits approximately 30 students each year so a "community" feel is developed very quickly. The group is very inclusive, creating a forum for everyone to speak. I have made lasting friends from my time on the course.

- We were taught with a very practical emphasis, the tutors were very focused on us becoming good practitioners and not just good students. Time was managed well and the timetable was almost evenly spread throughout the year. I started the course having completed a geography degree and did very well because they teach the course on the basis that you know nothing about the law. The teachers were extremely inspiring and displayed an infectious passion for their subject.
- Student facilities *****
- The facilities were truly state of the art as the building was completely new. Located in the city of London it is a very expensive looking building and boasts perhaps the best facilities I have ever experienced at an academic institution. The IT resources were great and the IT department were always on hand should a problem arise.
- Social life ***
- The groups were all small, 12 at most and so we were each treated as mini-professionals which was much appreciated. The teachers all wore formal attire which promoted an aura of respect in the law school. There was an even gender mix in the class and we were encouraged to socialise together which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The common room also boasted a pool table, very comfortable leather sofas and a very comprehensive refectory which helped us to relax between classes.

- The course is great at Wolverhampton University. The lecturers are very approachable and add humour to an interesting course. You do not need a background in the subject if you are a beginner as it starts off with the foundation and then advances at a convenient pace. There is always the opportunity to progress in such a competitive field at the University of Wolverhampton School of Legal studies with progammes like mooting sessions to put your views across and build up your self-confidence.
- Student facilities *****
- The classrooms are very modern and create a relaxing atmosphere to put everyone at ease.
- Social life *****
- Everyone has the same thing in mind; to work hard and achieve something at the end of their course. The people there are really helpful and will go out of their own ways to offer you any assistance should you need it. They are also freindly in all aspects.

- Course content *****
- The course is challenging, sometimes difficult but if people want training contracts then that shouldn't be a problem. The LLB Maitrise is more difficult in France becasue one is using their second language for the first time in its Native environment and the form of assessment is different. France is not England and the system of learning is very different. They work you hard in France but if you put the effort in and are enthusiastic, you will do very well.
- Student facilities *****
- Sheffield is very comfortable and well equipped, Paris has a government owned education system so less style but more academic rigour.
- Social life *****
