- A taxing but rewarding course that lays out everthing you need to know about project management using PRINCE. The teacher we had for this course was fantastic, he guided us through a mountain of material and helped us to digest it (well most of it!) in the four days that we had. The final practitioner exam is hard. As is the four days preceeding it. I was working until at least 7 each night. If you are working with project it is well worth doing, no mater what level you are in the team.

- Course content *****
- The course aims to take already skilled writers from amateur level to professional, and the ever increasing list of award-winning graduates gives an indication of how successful the course is! The work is never easy and the course moves at a speedy pace, but this teaches more about deadlines and the writing industry than an easier course ever could. The tutors are all professional, talented and incredibly helpful - and are all themselves practising writers. The curriculum is clearly laid out at the start of the course but there is always plenty of help on hand for those who need to clarify any aspect of it.
- Student facilities ****
- For a course of this type, the library and IT facilities are probably the most important resources and there are no problems with these at all. The university is currently having a reshuffle of its campuses so things are set to improve in this department.
- Social life *****
- The difficulty of getting on to the course means that, once they have made it, students are excited to be there and willing to work hard. The university prides itself on fostering a atmosphere of peer support, and encourages students to support one another and offer advice and criticism on each other's work.

- I am willing to come and study project management in Queen mary University, but the Tution Fees is on the high side for me expenses, I am a middle income earner from Nigeria, i hope if the cost could be reduced for people from the third world contries like Nigeria from such a high profile school, we will have somthing to be happy about. And that will also help to promote Education in Nigeria.

- I have only seen most of their structures in picture and on the net, with what i saw on the net, i believe they have nice structure in place.

- Don't give up in the first year - it gets better!

- Course content ****
- Events Management is a new course at Bournemouth University, therefore there are still a number of teething difficulties such as the course content. However the overall structure of the course has been constructed really well, which incorporates coursework and exams. The pace in the first year is quite slow but encourages group work so as to get to know your classmates which requires alot of time and effort when set a particular piece of coursework. But this means that you have more time to socialise and make friends (which normally involves lots of drinking) I did a BTEC National Diploma in Fashion and Clothing before coming to University and I did feel at a disadvantage in comparison to everyone in my group because the first year is extremely academic and is the equivalent of taking your AS and A Levels in one year. Having said that, as a group you all bring different qualities that help everyone in different ways and I now feel I am up to speed with everyone else. All the teachers/courseleaders are very enthusiastic about their topic areas. There is not much communication between them all which can lead to a few problems, which I think is due to the course being so new so will no doubt improve. I think this year has been a mixture of feeling frustrated and satisfied. In the beginning I found some subjects pointless and hard, which really demotivated me. However as the year has progressed I feel so proud of myself for what I have achieved in terms of my marks and making it through my exams ok. So the only word of advice I would give anyone is STICK AT IT - it might not be what you expected but it gets better in time.
- Student facilities ****
- We have different blocks spread out over the University campus and are in the process of revamping it all. As it stands certain areas are very dated but will change in the next couple of years. There are excellent resources on campus such as the library, refectory, the IT access centre.
- Social life ****
- Having made friends, going to uni was great! It was a laugh and everyone enjoyed studying so much more because you can all relate with one another. On my course, there is a majority of girls and a few boys. As a year we all get on really well, especially as we have quite a small number of students in the year (in comparison with other subjects that it) Its good because once you've made friends, you tend to socialise, filling the big gaps between seminars and lectures either by doing work in the library together, having lunch or going to the student union bar!

- As a marketing professional I have organised events in the past, but I was given a huge project to undertake and really wanted a refresh and that's exactly what this course gave me. It was fantastic, I was able to learn new things and it confirmed techniques I was already using. The speaker was really knowledgable and enthusiastic and was happy to spend some time with me in the break discussing my particular project. This course totally exceeded my expectations.
- Student facilities *****
- As I was travelling from outside of London and this course was perfectly situated and easy to access by train.
- Social life *****
- There was a great mixture of people on the course, many from large well-known brands, so it was great to meet them and find out what they were up to. We were all given a great amount of attention from the trainer and encouraged to interact with one another and he made his examples relevant to our businesses, which was so helpful.

- I was on one of Colin's courses last year. It was a personal development course to build our confidence. He really knows his stuff. What suprised me was, although I didn't really know what to expect, we learned so much more than I could ever have expected. The course was pretty comprehensive; about self-esteem, confidence, overcoming fears, assertiveness, stress relief, and he even introduced us to self-help therapies that really work. We all looked forward to our class.
- Student facilities *****
- Although there were a few minor glitches with the venue I went to last year (nothing to do with Colin), the courses are now online so you will have to try it out and see. If it is online, then the classroom and time should be perfect - unless yours is an ancient PC in the corner? :-? The internet is free at the library tho.
- Social life *****
- During the course no-one wanted to miss a class. When finished, every one of us wanted to continue our personal development, and learn more from this teacher who seemed to have so much much more to give. I'm sure there will be some on the motivation course he is doing online in October.
